A new member of our Multifunction printer family was launched in May.  We now have the ColorQube™ 9301/9302/9303.  These machines have many of the same features as the ColorQube 9200 family but there are new features and functions on the ColorQube 9300 family printers.  Some of the returning “stars” are the solid ink technology which saves energy, comes with less packaging and is easy to install.  The solid ink technology was discussed in a previous blog “Melts in your Printer not in your Hand”.  Other returning features and functions include all the same finisher options and print around, illuminated paper path and all the standard copy, print, fax and scan functions you have grown to expect from our multifunction printers.  

Some of the new features include the Color by Words technology which allow you to adjust your colors using standard phrases, printing from and scanning to a USB port on the side of the machine.  Security has been enhanced by using a 256 bit data encryption and with expanded user permissions that restrict printing by users based on color, job type,  application used and even time of day.  That means that you could restrict the billing department, for example, to only printing in black and white on Monday and Friday from 2:00 to 2:30 p.m. if that is what you want to do.  This helps to control costs and manage unauthorized use of your printer.  If a user tries to use a restricted function or print at a restricted time they will receive a message to tell them why the print job is not going through.   The ColorQube 9300 series is a feature rich product.  Please take a look at the product demo for more information about the features available on the ColorQube 9300 series.  You can also look at the support page for the printer for additional information and resources.
